Kinderboard

This multi-use toy piece was originally used by many children as well as the Kinderfeets creator in Waldorf early childhood classrooms. It was created to help children develop a sense of balance, stimulate their vestibular system, and gain a deep sense of awareness of their body and body parts. The German beechwood Kinderboard is Dutch designed and its excellent for stimulating child development - both physical and mental - and offers open-ended play opportunities for toddlers, children, teens, and even adults. It can hold up to 220kg/485lbs! The Kinderboard has water-based lacquer and can be used both indoors and out, perfect for rainy and sunny days at home or in a school environment.

Kinderboard Lite

At only 4lbs the Kinderboard LITE is a smaller and lighter version of the original Kinderboard - making it the perfect plaything for even the tiniest tots. With the ability to support up to 300 lbs (136 kg), the board is suitable for children ages 12 months and older. Strengthen and improve balance skills, coordination, body awareness and mobility while also stimulating the imagination.

The Kinderfeets Kinderboard may appear deceptively simple, but the hidden complexity of its manufacturing process is a big part of what makes the product so unique and cherished.

Each board is crafted using European Beech plywood - a heavier, denser timber that is naturally strong enough to withstand a lifetime of energetic play. Although the plywood is more expensive than less-sustainable alternatives, the material’s ability to be sustainably manufactured by Kinderfeets for flexibility, weather-resistance, durability and child safety makes it the most intentionally-developed and ecologically-friendly board on the market.
